Tag Rugby

In Year 4, the children have been learning the discipline Invasion, with the focus on Tag Rugby. In their lessons, the children have learnt the skills required to play Tag Rugby. During these lessons, children learnt how to use accurate passes to create an attack as a team. Children were introduced to the skill of picking up a ball from the floor and running with it to start an attack. The children learnt how to try and keep possession of a ball and build an attack. The children learnt the skill of being able to change speed to create new spaces and opportunities to run in to. In this unit, children were exposed to specific vocabulary such as: possession, consistently, evade, columns, space, length, pace and compete.
