Multiplication Tables Check

Children in Year 4 will be sitting the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in a two week window starting on Monday 3rd June 2024. The Year 4 team will contact parents close to the assessment window with a specific date when the MTC will be completed at Rednal Hill Junior School. The MTC is an online assessment which consists of 25 times table questions. The check takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. Further guidance from the DfE can be found below. 

The children will be preparing for this assessment at school using Times Table Rock Stars and the ‘try it out’ section of the DfE website (from April). Your child can be supported at home using Times Table Rock Stars as this will have a similar format to the MTC.
